Idea Calorie Intake to Lose Weight
What is the ideal calorie intake to
lose weight? I’m 50 pounds over-weight and I need to lose
weight fast. In the past I get frustrated and give up
because I cut my food intake but I still don’t lose any
weight. What am I doing wrong?

The ideal calorie intake for a woman to
lose weight is 1200 to 1400 calories per day. I recommend
that you eat 5 small, frequent meals through the day. Most
women burn around 2000 calories just to maintain weight. To
lose weight, you need about a 500 -700 calorie deficit to
lose between 1 and 2 lbs.
Because there are 3500 calories in a
pound of fat, it takes about 7 days to lose 1 pound of fat
with a calorie deficit of 500 calories per day. Keep in mind
that your initial weight loss may be water weight or some
combination of water, fat and muscle weight. Ideally, you
want to lose all fat and keep your muscle weight.
